Namaste and a big hello from the MyActiveTrails family!

Whether you’re a daily commuter dodging potholes on the way to work, a weekend warrior chasing sunrise climbs, a long-distance tourer with panniers full of dreams, or someone who simply loves the freedom of two wheels – this platform was built for YOU.
So, why did we create MyActiveTrails?
A few years ago, one of us started cycling 20 km from Indirapuram (Ghaziabad) to Rajiv Chowk (Delhi) for work. One morning on the huge NH-24 highway, the tyre went flat.
There was no puncture shop in sight on that 16-lane road. Google Maps showed nothing. Cars and trucks were speeding past — impossible to ask anyone for help.
After waiting for a long time, another cyclist stopped, helped out, and pointed to a few small puncture shops hidden off the highway. Getting off the highway was scary, finding the exact shop was harder, and finally, after pushing the bike for 30 minutes under the hot sun, the tyre was fixed.
That day we asked ourselves:
“Why is even a simple daily ride so hard when you need basic help on Indian roads?”
We soon realised this wasn’t just one person’s bad morning. Thousands of cyclists face the same problems every day:
  • Local cycle shops and mechanics are moving away from highways into tiny lanes.
  • Riders waste hours looking for air pumps or quick repairs.
  • Long-distance cyclists carry spare parts for everything because they can’t trust finding help.
  • Cycling clubs and cyclist-friendly cafés are almost impossible to find online.
  • When you reach a new city, you have no idea where to rent a good bike or join a group ride.
  • Cities are growing fast, but the small services cyclists need are disappearing even faster.
The number of people cycling — for commute, fitness, fun, or travel — is growing like never before. But the support we need is scattered, hidden, and shrinking.
That’s exactly why we created MyActiveTrails.
We’re building India’s largest crowd-sourced, real-time map of Active Mobility support services — created by Active mobility enthusiasts.
